Amazon to create more than 1,000 full-time positions at its new fulfillment center in San Marcos.

Global e-commerce giant Amazon.com, Inc. is building a fifth Texas fulfillment center in San Marcos. Amazon employees at the 855,000 square-foot San Marcos fulfillment center will pick, pack, and ship smaller customer items, such as books, electronics and toys. Up to 1,000 jobs are anticipated and the City provided property tax incentives.
