Traveling to Mexico in comfort just became easier for Central Texans. Today, AeroMexico announced their plans to begin using a larger plane that will provide travelers with more choices and more seats on their daily nonstop flight to Mexico City.
“The decision to bring in a larger plane that includes first class seating signifies the commitment that AeroMexico has to Austin and the Central Texas Region,” said Walter Zaykowski, Senior Director of Advocacy and Communications for Regional Mobility and Infrastructure for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. “Additionally, Delta SkyTeam customers can earn miles towards their accounts by flying this route on AeroMexico. This is a key partnership for Delta and AeroMexico that benefits travelers,” Zaykowski concluded.
Beginning September 18, all flights will operate using an Embraer EMB-190 aircraft that features 11 first-class seats and 88 main cabin seats, providing a total of 23 additional seats per flight. All passengers have the option to purchase or upgrade to Premier Class. AeroMexico’s Club Premier and Delta Sky Miles Elite users can also use loyalty program perks to upgrade seats.
