Last week Texas State University dedicated Bruce and Gloria Ingram Hall, a science and engineering facility that is the largest and most ambitious academic building project in the university’s history.

Ingram Hall is home to 167,000 square feet of space that will provide the opportunity for collaboration, cutting-edge research and student-centered education a high-tech, that our evolving economy demands. It represents not just an investment in our students, but in the future of our state.

Major funding for the building was made possible through the combination of a generous gift from Bruce and Gloria Ingram which was leveraged as a matching gift through the Texas Research Incentive Program (TRIP), and the support of the Texas Legislature.

Having this facility located in the middle of Austin and San Antonio is a major asset to the Texas Innovation Corridor. Students will learn in labs specializing in renewable energy to nanomaterials, classrooms built for active, hands-on learning, and industrial makerspaces for creating and testing products.
