Strive Logistics grabs downtown space

The Chicago-based company that opened a 12-person office in Austin two years ago has since grown locally to 45 workers. Strive Logistics is now in a storefront space of the century-old Buttrey Building at 111 West Sixth St. after a couple of years in the McGarrah Jessee building next door.

Strive Logistics, which was founded in 1995 as Strive Group, started as a delivery and warehousing company for greater Chicago. It has since evolved into what Greene calls a “tech-enabled 3PL,” or third-party logistics company.

Local Realtor Creates Sign Ski - Hassle Free Way To Install Yard Signs

Anna Hardeman, co-owner and broker of The Boutique Real Estate in downtown Austin has created Sign Ski — metal skis that slide onto a conventional real estate sign and keep it upright without having to force the sign into the ground. Hardeman observed problems with conventional for sale signs.

Sometimes the ground is so hard no amount of pounding with a hammer will secure the sign. Agents have hurt themselves or ruined shoes trying to position a sign in rocky soil. Sign Ski was featured in the Austin Business Journal.

Available at www.signski.com for $35 per set.
