Austin Shines For Autism - Inaugural gala event at W Austin
On Saturday, September 27, 2014, at 7 pm The Autism Trust USA will host “Austin Shines for Autism” at the W Austin. This inaugural celebration will be the signature annual fundraising event to support The Autism Trust USA, a nonprofit organization committed to providing futures with purpose for all individuals with autism and associated conditions.
Doors open at 7 PM and the evening will include a cocktail reception, chef prepared gourmet dinner, as well as a silent and live auction including many one of a kind items and experiences!
Austin Gives presents, "Telling your Philanthropic Story"
This free interactive workshop designed for businesses interested in learning from local experts how to successfully share their philanthropic story. The workshop will include examples of how to share your story with employees, customers and the general public. Attendees will learn the advantages of sharing your story.
This session is perfect for CEOs, COOs, Marketing staff and/or any titles responsible for philanthropy or marketing. This workshop is for members of the business community only.

Meador Staffing Services is a Company to Watch: Major Growth Ahead
In order for Meador Staffing to continue to grow and meet the demands of the job market in Houston, Austin, and surrounding areas, President Melinda Torrison has made several major role changes effective this week in the operations of the 46-year-old company.
Meador has added a Training Director (Valerie Smith) to oversee company-wide training, auditing, & company policies. Ashley Wright has assumed the role of Sales Manager over all account managers for the company. Michelle Martinez, Regional Manager, now covers the Austin, Clear Lake, and Pearland territories. Tamara Stucky now oversees Deer Park, Pasadena, and Woodlands territories.
CHCP Austin Celebrates Hero Day
The College of Health Care Professions is holding their Open House "Hero Day" inviting the public to come out and see how you too can become a Hero! 101 X and Austin Fire Department will be on campus to help us provide demonstrations from each of the classes, along with CPR, first aid and fire safety. Back to school goodies will be provided as well so bring the whole family.
We hope our fellow Chamber members can help us have a big turnout.
