Casino Night in the Hill Country!

Critical Need for Type O

Due to a high volume of emergency situations at our local area hospitals, The Blood Center of Central Texas’ stock of O negative blood has reached a critically low level. Due to these emergency situations, we ask that all eligible O- donors visit a Donor Center or mobile blood drive as soon as possible. These patients need your life saving gift and we need to maintain a stable blood supply for our community.

Texas Global Innovation and Intellectual Property Summit 2014

Join USPTO Officials, Texas Political Leaders, Corporate & IP Attorneys, and Law School Deans at Texas 1st Annual Global Innovation and Intellectual Property Summit to be held in Austin, Texas on November 10th 2014. It is being hosted by the Texas Pro Bono Inventor Assistance Center, serving Texas and the South Central U.S. The speaker list includes distinguished leaders in Intellectual Property and the Texas Innovation Economy.
The summit will focus on enhanced opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurial investment to better harmonize U. S. patent laws with those of other countries, and to streamline patent office procedures.

Capital Metro Ready to Roll-Out Extra Trains and Extended MetroRapid Service Halloween Night and Formula 1 Weekend

Metro has finalized plans for the upcoming 2014 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix and Fan Fest events, and will again be offering extended train service all weekend long.

Being offered for the first time during Formula 1 is a 3-day Festival Pass for use Oct. 31 through Nov. 2. The pass will be available for purchase beginning Oct. 27, and will cost $16.50. The unlimited-ride pass can be used on all Local, MetroRapid, Flyer Routes 100-199, Express Routes 936-990 and MetroRail services.
