Project Connect Reveals Plans for North Corridor's Transit Future

“Project Connect has partnered with communities in need of transit solutions to come up with a plan for the North Corridor that will provide more connectivity within Central Texas,” Capital Metro President/CEO Linda S. Watson said. 

The Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) for the North Corridor calls for several different types of services, including the extension of existing MetroRapid lines to Round Rock, Georgetown and Plfugerville; Express service linking Hutto and Pflugerville to Austin via the MoKan Corridor; Connect bus service from Hutto to Round Rock, from Round Rock to Cedar Park, and from Manor to Tech Ridge and the emerging transit hub of Highland Mall; New Park & Ride facilities in Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, Webberville, and more.

Capital Metro and the Project Connect team will next work with communities and local governments to identify funding sources, conduct the necessary environmental studies and establish project timelines.

The Creative Office Spaces At The Heierman Building Leased In A Jiffy

Occupancy at Heierman Building is back to 100% due to ECR’s marketing and hard work.

ECR was hired by F & J Heierman Building, LTD. to provide marketing and leasing services for The Heierman Building, a 10,588 SF office property located at 115 E 5th Street in Central Austin. Within 5 months, ECR sourced and executed 2 leases to increase the occupancy at the property back to 100% while increasing rental rates for the property by more than 15%. 

Judy Provost, Owner of F & J Heierman Building, has stated, “Jason and Haley did a fantastic job of leasing two floors of our building in a very short time."

AT&T's U-Verse with Gigapower first to light up Pultegroup's nine Austin-area communities

AT&T* and PulteGroup, Inc. announced an agreement to offer AT&T U-verse® with GigaPower(SM) over a fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) network to four currently open for sale single-family communities and five existing communities in the Austin area.

With the agreement, AT&T will offer its cutting-edge U-verse broadband, TV and Voice services on an advanced, all-fiber network to the PulteGroup communities in Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville and Leander. When completed, the developments will include nearly 3,000 homes.

Fly over Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas

The new teaching hospital at 15th and Red River in Austin will be called Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas. You can virtually fly over the future hospital now!

The new facility will feature a memorial to Dr. Robert J. Brackenridge, who spearheaded construction of the current hospital. The new structure also will honor the Daughters of Charity, Seton’s founders, who have provided health care to Central Texans since 1902, and the people of Central Texas, many of whom have contributed to the preparation and funding of the project.

Seton, a member of Ascension Health, expects to break ground in the fall.
