Plan for 2015
Regional in scope, the Plan for 2015 will include 15 school districts and 10 institutions of higher education.
By 2015, the Chamber and its education and business partners aim to:
- Raise to 70 percent the share of local graduates who enroll in college directly after high school. The rate was 62 percent for the Class of 2009.
- Improve by 50 percent students who complete college and earn a certificate or degree;
- Protect financial aid from cuts during the upcoming Legislative session;
- Encourage an “unleashing” of technology in schools to give students the skills they need to complete in a global, technology-driven economy.
