Financial Aid Saturdays

The Financial Aid Saturdays Program provides FREE assistance to Central Texas high school seniors, prospective/current college students, and parents/guardians needing help to complete federal and state financial aid applications to fund college enrollment. The program is a key element of the Chamber's regional matriculation effort aiming to increase direct-to-college enrollment from 61 percent in 2010 to 70 percent by 2015 to ensure our region is able to meet future talent demands.

Free one-on-one assistance in filling out college financial aid forms will be provided to all high school seniors, college students, and parents/guardians:

 

  • Scholarship applications by request

You will meet with financial aid experts from area colleges/universities and business-community volunteers.

Spanish-speaking assistance available at select events. Walk-ins welcome!

Financial Aid Saturdays Events

The following items are necessary to answer questions on the FAFSA and TASFA; however, we can still help you if some of the information is missing.

*Required inforamtion

  • List of colleges and/or universities the student is interested in attending
  • Student's driver’s license number
  • Student's alien registration card, if the student is a legal permanent resident*
  • Student and Parents'/Guardians' PIN number for FAFSA application (Can be requested or reset if lost)*
  • Student and Parents'/Guardians' Social Security Number (If applicable)
  • Student and Parents'/Guardians' W-2 Forms and other records of money earned in 2011*
  • Student and Parents'/Guardians' 2011 Federal Income Tax Return*
  • Student and Parents'/Guardians' 2011 untaxed income records (Example: public assistance benefits) (If applicable)*
  • Student and Parents'/Guardians' 2011 bank statements
  • Student and Parents'/Guardians' 2011 business and investment mortgage info and other investment records (If applicable)
