In 1838, Mirabeau B. Lamar, sent to scout for a site for the capital of the new Republic of Texas, described the site on the Colorado River as “the seat of a future empire.” Austin became the capital of the Republic and then capital of the state of Texas. It has become not only the seat of political and governmental power, but the center of a knowledge empire.

Bastrop »

The City of Bastrop is the county seat and commercial center of Bastrop County. Bastrop is located 30 miles southeast of Austin at the intersection of State Highways 21, 71 and 95, only 22 miles from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Cedar Park »

Cedar Park is the fourth fastest growing city in the nation in the population category from 10-50,000, according to the U.S. Bureau of the Census. From a population of 5,161 in 1990, Cedar Park has exploded on the popularity scale, developing into a community of over 30,000 residents in 10 years.

Elgin »

Elgin is conveniently located on Hwy. 290, just 19 miles east of Austin, 30 minutes from Austin Bergstrom International Airport and downtown Austin, within 90 miles of San Antonio, 125 miles of Houston and 180 miles of Dallas.

Georgetown »

Located on I-35 and State Highways 130 and 29, Georgetown offers quick and convenient access to the four major Texas cities. In addition to our proximity to highways and rail carriers, Georgetown boasts a general aviation public airport that can handle most business air traffic including G-4 and Global Express.

Hutto »

Hutto, a community of approximately 7,000 friendly people, is located in historic Williamson County on the eastern edge of the famous Texas Hill Country region. Rural in nature yet just a short 25-minute drive to downtown Austin and the University of Texas, Hutto is one of the fastest growing, most dynamic small cities in Texas and perhaps the nation.

Jarrell »

Jarrell, Texas is centrally located on I-35, just 40 miles of Austin. Originally laid out in 1909 by a Temple developer, Jarrell incorporated in 2001 and counts around 1900 residents inside the city boundaries. Affordable land prices and proximity to Austin's high-tech center give Jarrell a prime position in a growing market. Kyle »

Located in the heart of Central Texas, and known as the “Gateway to Texas Ranch Country,” Kyle is a charming community situated between Austin and San Antonio. Interstate 35 and MoPac Rail Line, sometimes called the "Backbone of America," are major transportation arteries that run through the middle of Kyle. Kyle is the second largest town in the fast growing Hays County.

Leander »

Leander lies within the heart of Central Texas and at the edge of the Texas Hill Country. Leander is home to approximately 18,000 people and continues to grow at a rapid pace. An excellent school system, affordable living, progressive government, and the close proximity to a variety of employment options are a few of the valuable attributes to the community.

Lockhart »

The City of Lockhart is located 30 miles south of Austin, 65 minutes Northeast of San Antonio and two hours west of Houston, on the edge of one of the fastest growing regions of Texas, the Austin-San Antonio Corridor.

Manor »

Manor, roughly 12 miles east of Austin is one of the region's faster growing residential communities. Located at the intersection of the recently finished Hwy 130 and Hwy 290, Manor is near major Austin area employers Samsung and Applied Materials.

Pflugerville »

The Greater Pflugerville region is one of the fastest growing areas in Central Texas, offering a unique community with an educated and varied workforce. The population is projected to grow 30 to 40 percent over the next five to 10 years.

Round Rock »

Round Rock is on I-35 just 15 minutes north of downtown Austin and 20 miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Round Rock's pro-business climate, supportive city government and industry partnerships make it a perfect place for companies to call home.

San Marcos »

The Greater San Marcos area, conveniently located at the center of Texas' Advanced Technology Corridor, offers a wealth of resources for businesses on the move.

Taylor »

Founded in 1876, Taylor is home to more than 40 manufacturing businesses that range from computer hardware and farm implements to library furniture and picture frames. A remote campus for Temple College provides academic and workforce training.

Austin Counties

Bastrop County »

Bastrop County boasts a new industrial park in Bastrop, location on a four-lane highway between Austin and Houston and proximity to the Austin airport. Elgin is building a network of wireless hotspots. The county also has several key components of the region's biosciences industry, including the M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center, University of Texas Science Park-Department of Veterinary Sciences and a growing number of life sciences companies located in the county.

Caldwell County »

Caldwell County offers many opportunities for growing businesses, including high-speed connectivity, state-of-the-art building inventory and a soon-to-be-completed second industrial park. The county seat, Lockhart, is less than 20 miles from I-35, I-10 and the Austin airport, and the proposed state highway 130 will skirt the city.

Hays County »

Hays County joins Williamson County as one of the fastest growing counties in Texas. The county's location on I-35 between Austin and San Antonio makes it ideal for companies needing good roadway links. The state's sixth largest public university, Texas State University in San Marcos, provides the area with a young, well-educated workforce. The state's largest outlet mall, located on I-35 south of San Marcos, makes the area a strong retail center. The County's next largest city is Kyle, another thriving community on the I-35 corridor.

Travis County »

Travis County, with the area's largest population, has experienced much of the region's job growth over the past decade. Austin offers a vibrant, urban environment and is home to many of the region's technology-based companies, government offices and five colleges and universities. Pflugerville, a rapidly growing community north of Austin, is the county's second largest city.

Williamson County »

Williamson County is the 12th fastest growing county in the nation having doubled its population over the past decade. It has also experienced explosive growth in commercial and residential development. Dell Inc., headquartered in Round Rock, is the world's largest computer systems company. Southwestern University, often ranked in national listings as providing one of the best values in undergraduate education, is located in Georgetown. Other fast growing communities in Williamson County include Cedar Park, Hutto, Leander, and Taylor.
