Bastrop Industrial Park – Free Land!
State Hwys 71, 95, & 21
Bastrop, TX 78602
Bastrop's Business and Industrial Park is 263 acres at the juncture of State Highways 71, 95, and 21 in Bastrop, Texas - just 25 minutes southeast of Austin. The Park is home to a mix of enterprises including a medical manufacturer, a drug testing and evaluation facility, and a major art sculpture foundry, among others. Several factors also make this an ideal distribution facility location: location between Houston, Austin and other Central Texas markets, wide streets, and a lighted highway intersection. The site is also rail served by Union Pacific with BNSF trackage rights.
The City of Bastrop's Economic Development Corporation has put in place a policy to grant free land to qualified primary employers who pledge job creation and capital investment. Under the policy, an employer would pay for the land, the money would be put into an escrow account, and then returned plus interest once the agreed upon job creation and capital investment criteria were met.
