Jimmy Kimmel Live! Honored as Austin Chamber Local Business Champion

Last week, Jimmy Kimmel Live! wrapped its second visit to Austin during SXSW. A fan of Austin, especially our food scene, Jimmy not only indulged at a few of our many great restaurants with Guillermo, but he also offered a local Austin business a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a TV commercial featuring Jimmy and Matthew McConaughey. The lucky local business? Vulcan Video.

To celebrate Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s economic impact to our community, and his love for our local businesses, the Austin Chamber of Commerce recognized everyone associated with the show as a small business champion in the form of a custom brisket rib award.

As you can see, Jimmy ate it up! Not sure if it contributed to Jimmy and Guillermo’s combined 16 lb weight gain during their trip to Austin.

The Austin Chamber of Commerce takes on the toughest challenges facing local businesses — such as education and transportation — however, maybe we should add weight management to our portfolio.

We are grateful for the spotlight Jimmy Kimmel Live! shines on the many great local businesses in our region and look forward to the show returning to The Long Center next year. Jimmy, we can’t love YOU more.
