| Chamber Chooses South Austin for Second Area Business Council
If you're a South Austinite, or just treasure the great ambiance of that part of the city, mark your calendar for Wednesday, January 18, for the launch of the Greater Austin Chamber’s South Austin Business Council. Paul Carrozza, President and CEO of Run-Tex, will head the new South Austin Business Council which was created to provide Chamber members with a place to get more involved, expand their opportunities to meet business neighbors and build strong working relationships. “We are excited that the Chamber has chosen South Austin as the area to expand the Area Business Council program,” Carrozza said. “Businesses in South Austin face some special challenges, and this will give all South Austin business owners another outlet for working together to solve problems. It will also create an additional opportunity to promote the South Austin business area.” WHAT: South Austin Business Council Kick-off
The Chamber established its first council, the Northwest Area Business Council, in February. In its first year, this Council grew to 111 members and held five member events with programs covering economic development issues, changing local demographics and business security. |
